Our New Home

Daily Drena: Casa Dulce Casa
With today’s taxi’s and train ride, we’ve managed to use almost every mode of transportation on this trip. Car, plane, subway, bike, walking, bus, taxi, and train.
We are exploring our new apartment, and our new town we’ll call home for the next month. The apartment is pleasantly surprising, and we feel we scored a pretty good deal. It’s got an awesome view of the famous Alhambra, and it’s on a tiny little street in a hilly old neighborhood. We are in the Moorish section of town, which is much different than our Madrid experience and Sevilla experience. We are definitely going to get a good dose of culture this next month. We set out looking for a grocery store, but failed. We did find a tourist office and came across our language learning center, but had visions of eating our snack rations again tonight. However, we did find a close-by crepes place, which will probably be one of our frequent meals this month.

Around Sevilla

Daily Drena: Memory Foam
Sleep – the bed is amazing! Who cares if the hot water pressure is wonky and the heat doesn’t work, we have memory foam luxury.
We did a tour of Catedral De Sevilla and the Alcazar and walked around quite a bit. But later we just hung low and worked and ate dinner at home again. We’re ready to settle down, I think.

It’s a beautiful day – should we go for a bike ride?

Bus from Lagos to Seville
Daily Drena: Real-World Transition
Maybe not. We’re headed to Seville to start our Spanish tour. We’re hoping Spain will live up to the amazingness that Portugal is.
