Daily Drena: Back on Bikes
We’ve been getting a lot of work done in the farmhouse, with daily outings on bike or foot. We’ve also been reading a lot (especially Drew), which is quite nice and rare. The bikes are a little low on maintenance, and we basically both have single speeds since the gears don’t shift. Drew’s has minimum braking ability, and the roads are hilly and rocky. But at least his has front shocks, unlike my rough rider. We sure do appreciate our lonely Yetis sitting in the garage at home!
The landscape surrounds us with rolling lush, green fields sitting in front of a hazy mountain backdrop, specks of historic villages peaking through bountiful trees, and stone farmhouses pop up intermittently as we ride along our trails. Poetic, we know.
